Anni Tolvanen
Like many others I also started my musical career with piano. Clarinet came along in 1993 and I’ve studied clarinet in Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. I’ve graduated in music pedagogue (Master of Culture and Arts) and I work full-time as a military musician in The Guards Band of The Finnish Defense Forces. I’m a wind music enthusiastic and like to make new musical arrangements among other things.
Anni Björk
I started playing clarinet on the music-orientated class in Pohjantie Elementary School in Kuopio 1993. After high school I pursued my studies on music in Savonia University of Applied Sciences. I did some exchange studies in Italy and graduated in 2008. I didn’t manage to inhibit myself from studying some more, so I did soloist specialization studies in 2008-2011. In 2016 I found myself again studying, this time I graduated as a Master of Culture and Arts from the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. During the years I’ve enjoyed versatile musical projects and playing, not to forget many magnificent players I’ve got the chance to make music with. At the moment I work as a joint full-time clarinet teacher in the Kerava and Pakila Music Schools. My dearest hobbies are crafts and running.
Sirke Tynskä
In the age of seven I declared that I’ll become a clarinet teacher. Two years after that announcement, in 1995, I got my first own instrument. My road led to Kuopio Conservatory, and after finishing the secondary degree I continued my way to Tampere University of Applied Sciences. I graduated as a clarinet teacher in 2011. After that I’ve been teaching in the Helsinki metropolitan area. At the moment I work in the Nurmijärvi Music School and in the Helsinki Police Band. I spend my free time watching movies, doing crafts and decorating the apartment.
Juhana Karjalainen
I began my clarinet hobby 1997 in Lahti Conservatory. After finishing the music school degree, I continued my studies in the secondary degree and graduated as a musician 2012. From Lahti I moved to Helsinki to study in Sibelius Academy and I’m currently finishing my Master’s degree. At the moment I work full-time in The Guards Band of the Finnish Defense Forces. On my free time I like to watch movies.
